Step 1:
First select the number of people you need to book a seat for, including children who want a seat of their own at SEK 50 each.
Then select a departure date, and the section, followed by the places between which you want to travel. If you want to book several sections, select “Book further stretches sections”, and you will be given an additional date and you will then be able to select a new section. If you are a holder of the Inlandsbanan Card, the Interrail card or the Eurail card and only want to book a seat at SEK 50, you will need to tick the “Holder of valid travel document” box.
Step 2:
Step two will give you an overview of the seats still available on the train. To find this plan you need to activate the pop-up boxes on the page, or use the “Seating” link. The seats marked in red are already booked, the blue seats are four-seaters, and the white seats are still available. All carriages in service on the line are listed; if you have selected several sections the list can be quite long. Choose your seats at the very last stage of the booking process. However, this section will give you an idea of the layout of the train.
Step 3:
Add your address details in step 3. It is important to enter d.o.b. data for any children travelling in order to ensure that discounts are calculated correctly. If you choose to have the ticket sent to you by email, then the email confirmation is your travel document. If you prefer to have the ticket sent by post, we will send it to your address.
Step 4:
Step 4 allows you to check your booking to make sure the details are correct. Step 5:
The final step involves choosing a seat on the train. If the seating plan is not displayed, please select the link “See free seats”. You now choose the carriage and the seats for your passengers. Confirm you booking with “Complete and save seats selected”. At the very end of the page, you choose the method of payment, stating whether you want to be sent an invoice or whether you wish to pay by credit or debit card. If you prefer to pay against an invoice, the payment details will be included in your booking confirmation, which will be sent to you by post or email. Card payments are made over a secure connection.
When making a seat reservation, please consider the following:
– White sets are available for booking.
– Red seats are taken and cannot be selected.
– If your party comprises three or more passengers, you can opt for the blue four-seater sections with a table.
– The carriage is divided into two rows of seats, two seats on each side, separated by an aisle.
– Pets are allowed in the front part of the carriage.
¬– If you select a seat that is already reserved, you will be sent an error message when clicking “Complete and save seats selected”. It is easy to return to the seating page and select another seat.
We reserve the right to make changes to the carriages, and you will be informed about any new seating arrangements for your booking.
Your booking will be checked by an administrator, and you will be sent a confirmation via email or post, depending on your selection for step 3.
